El Castellar is located as far away as you can get from the overcrowded costas and if you like rural France but are fed up with nose to tail 'GB' plates, this could be the ideal holiday venue for you. El Casa Castellar is a 300 year old traditional stone house which has been sympathetically renovated.
The villa is set in the village of El Castellar which has a shop for basic necessities and a bar. There are excellent restaurants, lively bars and a supermarket to be found in nearby Mora de Rubelios with its large castle, a 20 minute drive away.
The village is located in the heart of the stunning Gudar mountains, and is a 45 minute drive from the historic city of Teruel with its museums, café squares, shops and hyper-markets, and is a mere 40 minutes from the Valdelinares ski resort. El Castillejo, a 9 hole golf course, is about a 30 minute drive away.

No turn in the road brings you the same picture twice, and there are many wonderful walks, lakes for swimming, ski-ing and local wildlife to see. There are numerous local fiestas, including bull-running, and of course superb tapas and wine to enjoy.
There are many historic towns to visit including Rubielos de Mora, Albarracin and the city of Teruel (look on www.flickr.com for photos of towns including our village - enter El Castellar, Teruel).

THE PROPERTY
The property has 3 large double bedrooms (2 with en-suite wet rooms) , I small twin bedroom with bunks , additional sleeping -2 single chair/beds and 2 Z beds plus outside summer bedroom. 1 large family bathroom with walk in shower and separate bath.
Very large lounge with 8ft American pool table, TV, DVD and music, vaulted ceilings, beautifully furnished, 1st floor interior veranda with fold-back windows that overlooks the very large paved area with view of the castle, sun-loungers, hammocks, picnic table and gas paellera.
Kitchen/Diner that seats 12 with dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven and induction hob and all you could want. Central heating and 2 wood burning stoves (logs supplied). Bodega with Utility Area with washing machine and storage for sports equipment etc.

GETTING THERE
El Castellar is situated about 65 miles from Valencia Airport with its cheap flights available through Ryanair. Cheap car hire is also available locally.
